Guten Tag!
ich habe die aufgabenstellung: Correct the ten incorrect collocations on the lines.
1. People used to call American society a melting bowl,
but now they see it more as a salad pot.
-> melting pot ; saladbowl , also anstatt "bowl" muss da "pot" stehen..
2. I don't think that different ethnic and social groups should be integrated against.
-> discriminated
3. New members of society are expected to accept the shared stereotypes of their adopted ghettos .
-> anstatt "stereotypes" kommt "ghettos" und andersrum?
4. Migrant communities that vountarily integrate themselves may find themselves living in ethnic cities .
-> segregated ; gropus ?
5.Since the late 1940s Britain has changed from a homogeneous tradion with a basic set of identities to a multicutural society which is a mix of diversities .
-> bei "tradition " fällt mir leider nichts ein. Und identities müsse mit diversities getauscht werden?
Hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen und dies korrigieren :)

was genau sollst du denn hier tun? Sollst du nur die Wortstellung verändern auch ganze Wörter durch eigene ersetzen?

Ich denke das geht so in Ordnung.

Hier bin ich mir unsicher, würde ich doch eher accept und adopt tauschen.

Ich denke das passt so.

Darf man nur tauschen oder auch Vokabeln ersetzen?
Wenn nicht nur tauschen erlaubt ist dann würd ich statt tradition society nehmen und den Rest so lassen.
Ansonsten wenn die 3 getauscht werden müssen dann: diversity - traditions - identities

Das weiß ich nicht. Die aufgabenstellung lautet nur:
Correct the ten incorrect collocations on the lines.
wobei die blauen Wörter wellenförmig unterstrichen sind.

Hey Muellermilch,
to me collocation provides only for an interchange of words. This will not allow for exchanging a word against another not found in the original sentence. Thus I'd also suggest the version of moody for the last sentence as I also agree in interchanging adopt and accept in the second.
